AKG K1000s for sale.  In perfect working order.  The original red cover for the brace was replaced with an orange one by former owner Thrice. The cable is Canare Star-Quad, and terminates in a 4 pin male XLR jack.  Also included is an adapter for a standard quarter inch jack, as well as their original wooden box.

Asking price: $1,000

Please PM me if interested.

Just a small question. I suppose all K1000 with less than 4XXX serial number should have a black box?

It seems they have been recabled, what with.

I'm not familiar with the black box.  I can say that it's definitely a K1000 box from AKG though.

It was recabled by head-fier thrice, who identified it as star quad cable.

i can't believe that this headphone, generally considered one of the beast ever made, and certain experienced folks music reproduction weapon of choice, especially w/ a low serial #, hasn't sold. and at this price?!? i've little doubt that this will make someone a very happy listener!

Outside of rubbed off paint from the K1000 logo and serial number, I fail to find fault in their condition.  I thought it important to include those photos though, so as not to mislead people.

I love these headphones.  After three years of ownership, the way they image and reveal still wows me.  But combined with my Beta 22, they've proven to be somewhat problematic as mixing monitors.  That's the only reason I'm selling them.  I will surely miss them when they're gone.

I'm interested.

Please send me a PM (I haven't been a forum member who's posted before) regarding contact info (email/phone).

Thanks
