SOLD: DT880- 250 ohm (Aussies)

You can pay $500 AUD brand new, source them from another country or buy these $340 AUD delivered overnight express anywhere in Australia.  Simply as good as new, perfect sonically and physically with the only change being the colour of the pads (which I prefer).

Please don’t PM with “I can get these for $250 new in my country” (if you can then I suggest you buy them), you can’t in Australia so don’t ask me to compete with OS prices particularly considering postage will likely be prohibitive.

Headphones, padded pleather case (in pic) and original box.

Great headphone Aussie Headfiers, but they require a reasonable amp to sound their best.

PM me with your questions.  Feedback is in my signature.

I am no amp expert by any means.  I would say you would need more than your average portable amp.  I got very good results with a Little Dot MKV which is a great bang for your buck.  I also love the sound of the DT880 through the Meier Cantate.  Many sugest that DT880s sound best with tube based amps, however I have no experience with them, so I can't comment.  I sugest you search the Amp forum section, I am sure you will find several recommendations from Headfiers that have far more experience than me with amps.

Cheers

cool, i'll look into some valve amps (see if i can afford that as well as your lovely dt880)

however i had 1 more question, what's the main diff between the dt880 vs dt880 pro?

The DT880 premium is very simnilar to the Pro, with more refined headband and reportablely less clamping.  Same drivers etc so not a lot of difference, mainly product finish, with the premium being better finished.  These are now sold.
