ive been thinking about getting a pair of the AKG K701's for a while now, ive read that an it is highly recomended to use an amp with these headphones. so im looking for a pretty good amp in combo with the 701's in the price range of 250-400, i also have a pair of grado sr225i's at the moment so an amp that would compliment them both would be cool, but if that means sacrificing more of the 701's sounds than it would improve the grados i'd rather just get one specifically for the 701's because my grados sounds pretty nice without an amp.
and on a side note, how exactly does an amp work, like how it everything connected together like im so confused
