I picked this up locally, in essentially new condition for a bit over $1k. It doesn't have the original box, but a neoprene (?) bag, paper instruction manual and 1/4 (6.5mm) to 3.5mm headphone adaptor, not that it needs one and 100-240V power supply. I'll also include a coax adaptor with it (3.5mm to RCA) so you can use the coax input with regular gear, such as a CD player.
It is, as far as I know, the only portable DAC/amp that is both designed to properly power full-sized headphones and uses a proper discrete, Class A circuit to do it (it only uses OPAMPs as buffers, not to drive the headphones). It can take digital (optical, USB or coax) or analogue input, giving it a lot of flexibility. It also includes a crossfeed circuit, handy especially if you listen to older recordings which have instruments often sitting hard left and hard right. It's in 9/10 condition ("as new" but opened/used). I haven't even used one charge from the batteries. Shipping will be via EMS only, which is relatively cheap in Japan -- actually more so than regular airmail.
