What's the best place to get CDs in New York City?

Guys,

 

I have a friend who's going to go there for holiday. Oh God finally the opportunity strikes- I asked her to get me a few things that I've been looking for. Hopefully you guys can inform me on where to find them.

 

There are so many CDs that I want but on top of my mind currently is Chris Whitley and Lou Rawls '60s CDs. Are these CDs still widely available there? What are the good CD stores over there?
