I work at IKEA. :(

I use the Expedit in the 5X5 size to hold some of my records, and it is awesome.

I also use the POÄNG chair for listening.

I also love the POÄNG chair, am on my 2nd one. This time is leather. My first one finally broke after almost 10 years hard use. I over tighten the pivot joint bolt on one side where the rubber washer at, stripped it!!

I have both the Poang and the Expedit...love both.

If you get the Poang chair, you should really get the footstool with it.  Lean back, put on your headphones, and immerse yourself in your music :)

i have 6 Billy book shelves full of CDs...  stacked two layers deep.

it was the only way to fit it all in the house. 

my computer desk is from ikea as well.  i forget the product name.

and i have the expedit unit with combination of drawers and doors.  very cool.

i LOVE ikea.

I see a lot of us are of the same mind.  I use the expedit for storing some comics, some albums, and to house the spare TV and "non-HD" video game systems.

Sadly, the poäng got taken from me by the little lady because she found out how awesome it was.  I'm looking into finding another chair for the office that is comfortable and more function at a desk.

There's a nice sense of accomplishment when you put together some of their more complex furniture.  It feeds the desire to build until I actually have a place with some space to make my own stuff.

As to the OP's question.  I believe there are quite a few people that posted things they used from Ikea for headphones stands such a rolling pin, paper towel holder, etc.  I've seen some pretty cool ones around the forum

I think that the commonality is that we would all rather spend our money on headphones than on furniture.

I remodeled my house with all Ikea furniture and I think they are great.  I got so good at putting together the pieces at one point that I was just put together the pieces with no instruction.

Since I am moving soon I will probably go on another Ikea shopping spree to deck out my new place.

The largest Ikea in the southern hemisphere is 15 minutes from where I live.

I've had plenty of extended visits there. It's nice they have their own restaurant so you can take a rest from all that shopping. I've got too much furniture but I still like going to buy stuff from there :D
