I'm no expert on the differences between the models, but onecall.com has the coppers for an open box deal for 250.  You can save 20 dollars using a certain payment method.  Open box items from onecall come with the full manufacturer's warranty.

Monster voids your warranty if you buy their product from an unauthorized dealer or you buy an open box item. Check Monster's site for a list of authorized dealers. Onecall and J&R are listed, but you should buy new in box directly through their respective websites. If you buy through Amazon, even though it states that it actually comes from Onecall or J&R, the warranty will be void because Amazon is not an authorized dealer.
 

Difference is that the Coppers are more balanced than the Golds.  Gold has stronger bass impact while the Copper is more balanced and refined.  I personally like the Copper more and find them to be better all around IEM for all types of music.  If you are an extreme bass head and listen to mostly rap, hip-hop and R&B, then perhaps the golds are better.  

call them and offer them $220 for new ones. people around here seem to have tremendous success with them flexing their price for a sale
