I decided to let go my beloved WA2...
Here is a nice turn-key package for those of you who want to go with the tube sound !
- WA2 silver - Black Gate version: Comes with GE-6080, Philips JAN-6922 and standard Ez80
This is a late february 2009 version.
Condition is great. Just an almost invisible scratch on the volume pot (came like this from Woo Audio) and some surface scratches on the bottom (the amp was sit on vibrapod cones).
PLUS :
- a pair of Tung-Sol 5998, bought NOS,
- a pair of Telefunken EZ80 1965, bought NOS
- a pair of Electro-Harmonix 6922 Gold. One of the tube ended up noisy.
- 4x Amperex 6DJ8 (2 large getter, 2 small getter) bought used. Nice warmth but a bit noisy IMO.
Do your math, it's around 350$ of tubes !
I've run this amp with different set-up, compared it to other high-end rig... it has nothing to be ashamed of ! Impressive resolving power while still remaining slighty warm/involving.
I'm asking for S$LD + shipping from Monteal, Canada. It comes with the original packaging.
