Iron Maiden recordings

I've got all the Maiden albums I like on vinyl already and am pleased with the sound of those. 

 

But I also want to have Somewhere In Time on cd.  I used to own it on the US version of the mini vinyl replica cd which had the same terrible mastering as the 1998 remasters. I see there is the Japanese mini vinyl replica cd.  Does anyone here own this Japanese version?  How does it compare to the US version?

 

I'm trying to find the best version of this album on cd.

there are 2 masters of that album on CD

 

the original and the 1998

 

it's safe to say anything released before 1998 uses the original master and is the best version on CD
