Audiophile grade recordings in hip-hop

Looking for some suggestions in this genre since this site is geared more to other genres. Thoughts?

Hip-Hop really isn't an audiophile genre in my estimation, but I'd say The Roots are probably your best bet. Phrenology isn't their best album, but it might be the best showcase of sound quality by them. But I'd say outside of The Tipping Point, which ?uestlove wasn't happy with, they can be counted on for good sound quality. If you just want to go with their best overall albums, I'd suggest Things Fall Apart or Game Theory.

Lauryn Hill, MTV Unplugged 2.0

It's kind of folk hip-hop, but it's so good lyrically. I think it's what hip-hop should be about-- social conditions and the human condition, not ego.
