I'm looking for a portable speaker that doesn't require an mp3 player and uses a memory card to load music.
The Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 3 seemed to be a good size, but got turned off by it once I looked at the $700 price tag.
Budget is flexible, but looking to get something that's around ~$200. Just looking for something that's similar to the BeoSound 3 but with a lower cost and can play music without an mp3 player.
Reason for not wanting an mp3 player is because the speakers will mostly be used for family outings, and I don't use head/earphones and only listen to music in the car, so I don't see the need to buy an mp3 player if I could find a a portable speaker that is around the size of the BeoSound 3 and can play music with something like a memory card reader.
Any feedback on this will be great since I'm having a hard time looking for these types of portable speakers since everybody seems to be using a speaker + mp3 player setup.
