Game: Name This Artist

The rules are simple: I will post a photo of an artist's work and you guess who the artist is. Whoever guesses the name of the artist correctly first, wins.  The winner will then post a new artist work and the game will continue. So here it goes, the first artist:

Well Krmathis, since no one is taking a stab at this, I might as well. I am going to have to think about this more, but I suspect that this is a 19th century American painting? I am thinking along the lines of George Caleb Bingham or Emanuel Leutze?

Who is LMK? Wow, you got this right Sanakaku and Krmathis introduced me to a painter I've never heard of. Norwegian? This painting felt very American to me, however, the figures were rendered in a way that I was not familiar with at all. Tidemand was a very skillful artist. I will have to read up on him. Your turn Sanakaku...
