I need someone to recable my headphones...

Firstly, not sure if this is the proper forum for this or if FS/FT would be better, or somewhere else, so my apologies.

Okay, so I have a set of Yuin PK1 that, just today, started cutting out in both channels. They are practically useless. I had hoped that the problem may have been with the amp I was using (Fiio E1) or my iPod, but alas, it is most definitely the headphone cable. When I wiggle around the 3.5mm jack I can sometimes get one (or both) channels to work, but it is quite intermittent and still useless.

Anyway, I really like these headphones and as I totally do not trust myself with a soldering iron enough to attempt this myself, I am hoping someone can take care of this for me for a reasonable cost.

I can't do it, but you should post up your budget, what termination [3.5mm?], and what type of wire you want.

I figured that could be worked out once I found someone who would do it...I really don't know what to expect budget-wise, it needs to be 3.5mm termination, I don't especially care what kind of cable it is, as long as it is durable and ideally as portable as the stock cable (I would like a higher-grade cable, if possible, though).

Check out Double Helix Cables.

Not necessarily cheap but you'll get what you want.

I can do it if you give me a list of what you want on the cable...just pay for the materials and that's it, no hidden fees.

Check this:http://aphroditecu29.com/Zeus/Zeus_Headphone_Cable.aspx

Robert is a great guy to deal with and his Zeus cable is incredible!

I am so gonna be bashed over this but here it goes. Go and get a cheap deal, don't waste ur money on exotic cables. The only importance in a cable is the minimum thickness. I'll start a thread soon explaining why exotic cables are just for quick money. If you don;t belive me just google audio cable myth. Someone on this forum uses 450$+ prices for recabling. It's grotesque.

alex: That's why I'm not willing to spend a lot of money on this cable. Also these headphones are earbuds so I'm assuming there's a fairly limited cable thickness that will even work.  I mainly need it to be more durable and that inherently means better built than the stock cable (which is just like any other little crappy cable you'd find on any $10 pair of headphones). But yeah, definitely not gonna be spending a boatload of cash on this project. I mainly view this as a cheaper alternative to buying a new set of PK1, and avoiding having to deal with the burn in period again (my PK1 have several hundred hours of burn in).
