My dear Head-Fi'ers. The time has come to change courses in life. Im leaving the Netherlands for NY, such is destiny...

Therefore I must sell this precision hand made amplification beauty, as it is designed for 230v. This amplifier was bought 2 years ago via audiomarkt.de from a professional diy'er, as you can see in the pictures, this is as good as a custom build gets (perfectly built custom wood/stainless case, Alps 50k poti and great components overall. The amp was made specifically to work with high impedance headphones, 150-600ohm would be its perfect operational range. The amp is built around the very famous and well reputed (but very cheap) Siemens c3g valve, the valve normally comes with a metal shield but for aesthetic reasons I decided to remove the shield.

About the sound... Lush, rich, with liquid mids, well defined highs and great bass authority. It was the perfect pair to my ed.8's (even though they are low impedance) and when I had the hd800's the match was among the best I tested. I bough this amp for 550euros and Im willing to let it go for 275euros plus shipping and paypal. Please pm if you have any questions...

Here are 2 pictures (as preview) but the full Picture set is here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/52152508@N03/sets/72157624403405839/detail/

Hi Guy, what is the topology of this amp? triode strapped pentode in single ended? I know that the two small at the back is for the PSU CRC filter but what is that two tubes in front stand for?

I wish I had the answer to your question, to my understanding the two tubes in front are just large capacitors linked to the c3g's, but thats as much I can talk in this language... Thats why I took pictures of the interior, hoping that a diy'er could describe it better.

Are the c3g's the only tube on the amp? nothing else? How heavy is the amp? thanks..

Yes, the c3g's are the only two tubes on the amp, Im sure you know that these tubes are considered by many the ultimate preamp tube.... I think it weights around 5-7kg.

I have searched in my email archive for info of the amp when I bought it and I found the following description which might answer your first question: Single-stage cathode circuit with passive resistance as a burden; C3G - tube in triode, capacitive decoupling, bridge rectifiers with RC-screening in the power supply. Does it make sense?
