Denon SACD/DVD-A Player or Laptop > Maverick D1 24bit/96khz DAC > Tube Preout > Denon AVR-1604 Receiver > JBL L830 Bookshelf Speakers.

It is just fantastic, especially since I pieced it together with mostly used equipment.

I finally got my speakers attached with some high quality Dayton banana plug speaker wires. And I am enjoying the new Danger Mouse/Sparklehorse album right now. I just want to add another set of speaker wires and bi-wire the JBLs so they sound even better. And these JBLs go LOW with a 6.5in woofer.

Congrats.  I had the Maverick for a short time.  It wasn't very good as a headphone amp (too much background noise), but I recall it was a good tube stage that warmed up the sound.
