So what's the official standing of Head Fi on discussion of tube rolling with SP amps?

Don't want to start a thread if we feel it inappropriate to discuss SP specific amps. Otherwise I'd like to discuss how many have kept their amps and what tubes they are using.

I am still with my MPX.

Have not used any adaptor for an year or so.

Mainly use Hytron GT/Syl GT (T-plate short bottle) for output, still continuing to play with drivers.

I don't see why it should be a problem to discuss Singlepower amps, especially if it makes someone who somehow missed it aware that they might have a problem if they don't have their SP amp checked.

Anyway, having had my Singlepower Extreme repaired and having had a new beefy Electra-print transformer installed, it's been delivering great sound. I'm using a Mullard ECC32 as the input tube, and GEC 6AS7G's as the power tubes. Very nice.

Still using my PPX3-6SN7.  Right now its running two Sylvania JAN 6SN7GTs and a Tung Sol "Mickey Mouse" ears 6SN7GT.  A very pleasing sound to my ears.

I'm about to start rolling for the RS-1s. I've selected a WE 2c51 and Tung Sol 5998 drivers for the K701s. Gives more punch to the lows and good details.

Any favs to try? They tend to sound better with the 6sn7 variant.
