Hey there, my name is UrkelzPro and I am new to this whole audio thing. I was searching for a forum a little while ago that dealt with audio, and head-fi seemed like the perfect place for me. I hope to learn a lot through to forums and eventually have my own high end audio equipment. Anyways, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself, and hopefully I can increase my audio knowledge through you guys' knowledge.

Welcome to Head-Fi!
Sorry about your wallet.

Is there anything you wanted to know? Are you planning on making a purchase soon?

Have fun!

I am actually planning on purchasing a set of IEM's, but I don't know how to tell if they are good and what not.

What is your budget?

What types of music do you generally listen to? What quality (bit rate) is the music?

What will your source be? Or are you purchasing that too?

Do want a lot of isolation, or just a little?

What type of sound signature do you want (ex. bass-heavy, neutral, treble-heavy)?

Thanks for the welcome and the pic! As for the questions...

What is your budget? Max is around $200 USD.

What types of music do you generally listen to? What quality (bit rate) is the music? Hip-Hop/Rock/Metal and I try to make sure my music is all 320 kbps bit rate. If there is a better quality please let me know.

What will your source be? Or are you purchasing that too? As source I am guessing like the media player, which will be an iPod Nano 3rd Gen. I will be getting an amp, but I don't want to pay over $75-$100 for the amp.

Do want a lot of isolation, or just a little? Isolation is a MUST!!!

What type of sound signature do you want (ex. bass-heavy, neutral, treble-heavy)? Well, I would like to get something that has deep clean bass. I do not want it to cause distortion though, seeing as how I also listen to rock and metal.

EDIT: Oops, it was already linked above :P

Hi, and welcome to Head-Fi! :D

I am desperate for a currently produced high quality (audiophile or profession) portable CD player with a line out jack so that I can hook it up to my Ray Saunders Protector headphone amp and my Ultrasone headphones for proper listening.  Any suggestions from anybody?

Welcome to Head-Fi. Let me be the first and probably not the last to say "sorry for your wallet". This thread/forum isn't the best place to ask your question as it's customary to keep your posts related to the original post ("OP"). I strongly recommend posting your message in the Portable Source Gear forum.

What does that have to do with the OP's thread? I think you're better off posting this in the portable source gear forum. Btw, you didn't have to use your email as your username lol.

@OP: Welcome to the forums! Sorry about your wallet!
