The thicker cable doesn't mean that it would have a different dual-pin connector layout.  In fact, I would bet good money that Westone uses the exact same pin layout for their high-end universals and customs.  Why would there be different, requiring different tooling and larger number of SKUs in terms of cable stock to be maintained (one set for universals and one for customs).  

 

I'm sure Craig will have an official answer for you, but personally I don't think you'll have anything to worry about.  These things are pretty much standard these days.  The only exception I'm aware of will be the upcoming proprietary JH-3A connector with the double-dual pin configuration for the active crossover.

They are compatible. Absolutely!!

 

Like I said, any of the customs from Westone, UE and JHA works fine!

Craig, I would like to pre-order

1 x 48" with Oyaide 3.5mm Right Angle

1 x 48" with JH-3A custom-molded version (quad-pronged IEM-connect for the active cross-over - as per Jerry Harvey's specs)

Exactly :D I have a Pico Slim, and the Viablue is too thick to plug into my amp (the amp is attached to my DAP), that's why I needed a right-angled in the first place!
