Ok so I bought Maya lsat night and have listened to it several times. I'm mixed on it. It's fatiguing to listen through all the way through, to abrasive and clanging/buzzy

Individually though most of the songs can be quite effective.  I like xxxo and born free

I did read the antiquiet review (thanks for the link) and dont agree on several aspects. I think to date Kayla is her best effort and represented a big jump over Arular which in comparison seems a bit hesitant.

I first heard her when a friend was playing a remix of Galang.

I'm wondering if she needs more editing/tightening up. It takes a muscle never should have made it out of the studio. This album does have a lot of potential for remixes I think. I have already heard a dub step remix of born free which totally changed the feel of the song.

Last but not least, watching born free on Letterman again, its a great presentation though it's a minor steal from Madonna (of all people

lol that site gave recovery 5/5. Definitely not the source for music news in my opinion.

I must warn that google pulled their ads from antiquiet recently due to offensive content. So don't click the link if you are offended easily.
