Soundmagic PL-50 sound issue

Well I've received a replacement pair of Soundmagic PL-50, however now I'm hearing a barely audible, yet still present, high pitch scratching sound in the right side at certain low-mid frequencies in mid level volume. It's clearer to hear during solo base guitars. I've tried three different sources, inverted the testing soundtracks, and even placing the right side into the left ear and vice versa. Is this something that will dissapear.over time or should I return them (if it's returnable for this issue)?

Yes, if there is something wrong with your replacement talk to the dealer for another one.

Great, I'll have to RMA it back to Hong Kong. It's going to take more than a month. :(

But what caused this problem? I'm concerned that they won't replace them.

Hi Elysium, I'm sorry you are having trouble with your PL50s. I know what a pain it is to deal with their customer support. I had a similar experience

If I had to give my advice I'd say don't bother trying to get another replacement. It's just not worth the wait and effort. There are better options available.

Just stay away from SoundMagic.

or else buy KLIPSCH S4.

i auditioned both at the same day, i fell in love more with klipsch s4 because of the details and the midrange.

the soundmagic pl50 is also nice but i would prefer s4 more.

the s4 will make you smile.
