FS: AKG K500 in AKG K301 Shell!

For sale is an intensely unique and sonically outstanding headphone.

 

After purchasing AKG K500 drivers from AKG, I transplanted them into the functionally identical AKG K301 shell. In other words, while the headphones sound exactly the same as the "ordinary" AKG K500, the headphones look, in my opinion, far better.

 

Functionally, the headphones are perfect.

 

Cosmetically, the AKG K500/K301 is in excellent shape. The lettering on the headband is slightly worn.

 

I'm asking only $129 + shipping for this never-before-seen headphone!
