iPhone audio in-out diagram

Thread Starter

I am new to this forum so please bear with me if this has already been discussed here

I am looking for an iPhone audio in-out diagram/schematic. By this I mean the wireup used for Apple's standard headphones with a built in mic. We are about to develop an external speaker and a mic that connects to the iPhone or iPod (if possible) via the 3.5mm jack to allow for a loud speaker and a mic to our specifications.

Any ideas please?

Appreciate your input.

Thanks.

Eli.

if you search around you'll find lots of thread about pinouts with lots of pics and usefull info.

Also, what do you mean by "we are developing..." ?

If you're developing and comercial product please do your homework, do not come to a DIY forum asking for help... if not, share the project with the rest of us!

Thanks for the info MASantos. "We are developing" means a buddy and I... the project involves an external speaker and mic along with an amplifier (to boost sound to the speaker). All we want to do is to connect via the 3.5mm jack, not to the pins at the bottom so I am unclear to what you mean by pinouts etc. Please can you point me to the right directions?

Thanks.

Why are you using the iPod headphone amp instead of the line out?
