For sale are my Sony MDR-CD3000 headphones which have been recabled in balanced configuration with Moon Audio Black Dragon cable.  The headphones are in terrific condition.  The sound is phenomenal, with terrific bass impact, clarity and definition.  The ear cups have new covers and I also have the original case and box.  I even have an extra set of new ear pads.  Here are some photos:

Bump.  For those not familiar with this headphone, it has amazing musicality with awesome bass.  Kind-of like a JVC DX1000 but without the colorations.

How does it sound compared to the R10, they look similar.

I've been talking headphones with you for years. Now I can help you with your purchase:) Sales Specialist & Headphone Guru @ Headphones.com

Bump.

They do sound similar as both use similar biocellulose drivers.  The CD3000 has more bass, especially the balanced cans, and I likened them to a JVC DX1000 without the colorations.  Compared to the R10, however, they do not have the deliciously smooth midrange that is the hallmark of that great can (but then again, what headphone does have that beautiful midrange?).  The CD3000's are also a bit brighter than the R10's.  I love my CD3000's for rock and jazz.
