Hi!

I have an 6G iPod with an 160Gb hard drive.

Some days ago, the hard drive start doing some 'sounds' and give me some problems.

I'm start thinking about change it. What is the biggest hard drive available to this iPod? It's possible to put on it something bigger than 160Gb?

Thanks in advance,

160gb is the largest hard drive that you can put in that model.

There's a 240GB hard drive out there, but Rapid Repair has a chart that says it won't work with the Classic.

If the hard drive is acting up, you could try hitting it. The read (read/write?) arm can get stuck over time, and hitting it while it's trying to load up can help or even solve the issue. I've fixed two 4th gens that way.
