I had high hopes that I would really like/love the 880's but I just don't think that the signature is for me and in the current climate I could be using the money elsewhere.
I couldn't get the 600Ω version in the UK so bought them directly from Beyer in Germany. When I saw that you could customise them (Manufaktur) I thought I'd add a bit of leather here a black accent there etc, etc.... but the cost soon mounted up and I ended up paying 367 euros + $65 for leather pads from Moon Audio so as you can see they owe me a fair bit (about £350 with todays exchange rates). They are very classy looking and come with the leather(ette) zip case, real leather pads and original velours, real leather headband and all black accents are soft touch deep black. They are about 8 weeks old and so still under genuine Beyer warrantee.
If individuallity floats your boat you may want to consider these because although someone somewhere in the world may have chosen the same Manufaktur parts as me, the chances of ever meeting or seeing this actual phone anywhere else must be millions to one.
