Audio Mirror Tubadour MkII Vs. db audio Tranquility NOS DAC for $1.5k

Since getting my audio mirror DAC d1 I have become a NOS Dac fan but I want to upgrade to a reference quality NOS dac. I was wondering about these two that fit my price range.

I have never run tubes in my system but I love my current audio mirror so I am considering it.

What do you think? What are some products I may have overlooked? Is there a sampling dac that is musical and flowing like a NOS dac?

Thanks,

Sam-fi

I have not yet came across a sampling dac that can come close to a well designed NOS dac for under $2.5k on the used market. However, I have found an exception for one box players. But since you did not mention interest in them, I will not digress. For that price range, you can also get an Audio Note dac kit 2.1. It is sold in the form of a diy kit, but they can also be completely assembled on order.

Hmm. Interesting.

Deciding what is the best just seems impossible.

I think I will go with db audio if for nothing more than it follows the same philosophy as my the minimalist lfd amp.

Any weigh in on this?
