Similar flavor to "Caresse Sur L'Ocean" sung by Kelly Sweet

What language is Caresse Sur L'Ocean in?  It sounds very good, especially sung by Kelly Sweet.  I'm not particularly fond of her other songs, but I like this one very much.  Any good recommendations of songs in that same language?

It is French: "Carress over the Ocean", a metaphor of the wind.  Right now I can't think of another French song sung by someone with a similar voice quality.  Perhaps someone else may help?

Caresse sur l'ocean was composed by Bruno Coulais for the (very French) film Les Choristes. If you like the tune, you should both track down the soundtrack and watch the movie.

 

If you're going for the same style, you might actually want to check out Carla Bruni's albums (wife of Sarkozy). Not exactly my style, but it might be yours! The only other contemporary French artists I can think of are Yannick Noah (who is interestingly enough is a former champ at the French Open and whose son currently plays in for the Chicago Bulls) and Benjamin Biolay, but they're not quite the same.
