Anyone know of a high quality CD release of the Rossini Overtures?
I was looking at these, but couldn't decide:
I'm kind of leaning towards the Gamba or the Reiner, but some input would be greatly appreciated.

You definitely want the first one: the Chailly 2-cd set. Superb sound, superb playing, and utterly perfect conducting. You get more overtures on this set, too. I grew up with Reiner/Chicago and as great as that is, and it's really great stuff, the Decca set is in no way inferior.
I would also go with the first one. Those London/Decca releases usually sound great on their own. They remaster extremely well too.
