Has the Headamp GS-X had updated modules since its introduction?

Some past threads mentioned that there were newer modules placed in the GS-X at one point. Did this happen and, if so, what were the consequences? Thank you.

It never happened because of the Pico and Pico Slim phenomenon.

But I would like to see a more "warmer" module, compared to dead neutral current module

Thanks for the reply.

Even without any other modules, GS-X is still a top of the line SS balanced amplifier, easily in the same league with a maxxed Beta22 !

If I would be an SS guy, GS-X would be my choice without a doubt.

Yep, from the comments here and elsewhere, that's what I was thinking.

Of course, if balanced operation is not a factor, there is the Luxman P1u...

I seem to remember reading a while ago that the real reason the new modules haven't materialized is because of some difficulty with the supplier or manufacturer - not because of the Pico phenomenon.   I think Justin is still firmly committed to his desktop line and I'm sure if these modules were available, they would be available as an upgrade.

Toshiba's move to discontinue all of the dual package transistors was probably a large factor here.
