trying to rent off campus housing near boston university

I am trying to rent a 2 bedroom apartment bear boston university, preferably <20mins walk to its school of management under $1650 but I find very little properties within my specs on craigslist. Increasing my budget to $2000 only showed a few more listings but nothing substantial. My question is when do landlords usually put up their listings? Will I see more listings in August right before school opens in September?

You could probably get to school in 20 minutes by taking the T. The stop seems to be right in front of the school of management and while far from fast, you would get to school within 20-30 minutes if you live close to another stop. Living a bit further from downtown might ease the costs of renting?
