Hey all,
Not really sure if this is the forum (hell, this is the only audio forum I post in), but I'm going to give this a shot here.
I just got a new receiver from my father-- he picked it up at an estate auction for about $20. Anyways, it's a Yamaha RX-V2092. A quick google search discovers this is about 15 years old, was build in Japan, and was/is a serious machine.
Moving on from that, I finally got around to hooking everything up at my apartment, and the rear right speaker produces no sound whatsoever.
I don't necessarily know how receivers work [f'in magnets], but I'm curious if I open the top case if it will become apparent. Is this possible from a loose connection on the inside, or a blown fuse? I'll probably crack it open in a few days (gotta let the capacitors drain), but I'm just curious to know if it's possibly an easy fix.
The receiver does have two outputs for 'front effects', so I'm currently just using that for the rear right speaker, sounds great with music, but a bit off in movies (understandably).
Thanks!
