For the right price, I might be interested in selling my Hotrodded X-Fi XtremeGamer if you're interested.

what is the right price?how much costs u that mod?

I'm not entirely sure what to ask for it, I know I want to buy a new PCI-E model to replace it so I don't think asking enough to do that is too much. Here's the mods it's had done:

Replaced all caps with Panasonic FM

TL082 opamp for L/R channels

Muting transistor bypass

Ghetto EMI/RFI protection (kinda in bad shape)

I'm not entirely sure that I want to get rid of it (I enjoy it and am leary of upgrading to the PCI-E model). Make me an offer though and I'll consider it.

40 usd?

have u tried it in games like cs or aao?

and what opamp is there for headphones bec i use only headphones

I'll hang onto it for $40. There's really no indication of what custom things like this go for but I was hoping somewhere around $100 since I've invested a decent amount into it and the mods make it a really nice card. Headphones would use the L/R channels that has the TL082 opamp. I've never played Counter-Strike but I used to play America's Army a lot and the EAX effects worked great and the sound is good.

No sound card will change how far you can hear in a game. Sounds are done in real time by the engine, unless you modify something in the engine (hacks) it's not going to change. EAX adds effects like echo and whatnot. Different sound cards will vary the quality of detail you can hear so things that might have been drowned out before might be clear now.
