ibasso T3 or T3D?

Which do you recommend ibasso T3 or T3D and why.

 

would be paired eventually with either a Cowon J3 or 5th or 5.5 Gen ipod.

 

Thank you. I have searched the forums for a week or 2 (and google) yet still haven`t found that `right` answer.

The difference should be the T3D's digital volume control. It allows for finer steps and better stereo tracking (less channel imbalance at the extremes). Sound-wise some claim digi volume controls don't color as much, but I doubt that's a huge difference. I doubt it'll be a big deal, I like digital volume controls personally.
