Just bought a USB cable, which was advertised as USB 2.0 speed, latest, etc.
When transferring data via this new cable, it really slows down the speed, especially towards the end of the transfer, often freezing and crashing my computer! It also makes my computer give the the error message, "you can improve your speed if you use High speed USB Port," which is the same for all USB ports on my USB 2.0 computer.
None of these things happen via same USB ports with other el-cheapo USB cables. I just don't understand how a mere USB cable can do this, when apparently all the electrical connections are made.
I guess I should have known better than to buy from eBay Hong Kong seller. They require that I pay shipping back to Hong Kong for return, so I guess I've learned my lesson.
