Hi everyone. Mymemory.co.uk is having 20%off this weekend so I think this is a best chance for me to get a pair of cheap IEM since I've lost my SoundMagic PL50 lol. Can anyone please recommend a pair of IEM for me for less than £30?

 

I love clear and warm sound with plenty of headroom as possible. I listen to pretty much anything especially jazz. The PL50 are very nice but they're not very durable, I've glued the driver covers twice before. I've been wanting the Panasonic HJE900 for a long time but I couldn't find anywhere else cheaper than Amazon. My budget is around £30 or USD$50. So, probably this Mymemory deal will be a chance to get a cheap,decent IEM for now.. maybe?

 

I live Australia. Stuffs here will never be cheaper than in the UK & US. So, the free shipping is a bargain for me.

 

Should I grab a pair now or save up for the HJE900? Any recommendation?

were you happy with the PL-50? 

 

they dont seem to have anything that stands out so id be inclined to say a set of Brainwavz M1 (MP4nation has them)

I'm happy with the sound but I don't like the build quality. I'd like to try other IEM. Is the Custom 2 good for Jazz? I've read some of your posts and I see you like them very good. Can you describe the sound of them?

are they still doing the custom 2?  they had them going cheap but that was some time ago.

 

yeah good for jazz, a bit like the PL-50 but softer and warmer with a bit less clarity and dialled down treble.

Play.com have the Panasonic HJE900 for £99.99 free delivery. Cheaper than Amazon UK (£120).
