Mine took like 6 days when I made the payment. Pretty fast considering the distance+its a Manufaktur product. Too bad whoever mounted my phone was drunk or something.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

Btw, how do you guys clean this phone? The Black Piano Laqued material seems pretty sensible to scratches and stuff. Also how do I proceed to remove the leather earpads to clean it as good as possible? Expensive shit, im scared to break it or something.

How to install Beyerdynamic ear pads

Installation is very simple and can be performed by anyone. If you take a look at your original pads, you will find a flap that fits over the plastic enclosure of your headphones. Carefully pull one side of the pads away from the plastic enclosure. This will allow you to slide a portion of the pad off. After this, continue pulling and eventually, the pads will come off with ease. To install, simply do the opposite. If you don't feel comfortable installing them on your own, you may send your headphones to us. However, you must pay for all shipping charges.

Thanks, will check the links out later.

But im just not sure about sending the phones, considering how incompetent they are... anyone figured out what is this little piece missing doing exactly? It's big deal if it's missing it?

Can any wise owner of those headphones explain the technical side of that piece? What it's doing on there? Im not sure if it's worth sending the headphones back to Germany to get this little piece put on there. Does it affect the sound at all or just aesthetics? Im just paranoid I think.

Do you notice any difference between the sound of the channels ? If you test it with mono sine sweeps, does the sound stay centered ?

Will try this tomorrow. Got any solid mono sine sweeps to test with tho?

You could try "SineGen", a simple freely available utility. Although if the difference between the channels is not large, it might not be very easy to hear.
