Got some DT770 Manufaktur. Little piece missing and headband missplacement. Pics inside

Got em a couple of days ago. It's the 600 ohm one. Everything okay, only recently noticed two weird things:

There is a little piece missing at the right driver. The next picture displays said piece (its black and has like a grid texture). The left one has it, but the right haven't got one, so it's basically a hole inside the driver. You can see some sort of white plastic inside. I don't know if this is actually normal, or if the piece is really missing. Please check your DT770 and tell me.

piece

If its missing, what worries me is dust getting inside there, where its supossed to be covered.

Then, the next error i've noticed is the left side of the headband isn't attached to that black piece:

Right one:

Left one:

Probably not a big a deal, and doesn't affect the performance of the headphone, but I dont really care. Im a bit annoyed, I expected perfection from Beyerdynamic, even more if its the Manufaktur line I guess this is not normal and everyone can screw up sometime. Anyway, awaiting what you guys have to say here before I write Beyerdynamic about it demanding a new perfect pair. For the price, im on my right to demand what I paid for in perfect status. I hope they don't make me pay the shipping costs because then im going to get pissed.

your pics are too big and too blurry, but for the headband "problem" it's normal...it slides on the metal pieces, it's not fixed.

I know, im sorry its just my shitty phone. Can any DT770 owner confirm if that piece is on both left and right sides?

The hole next to swivel attachment is a bass port, but it's supposed to be on both cups. And headband cover is not attached to plastic pieces.

So what does that mean? I know there are two holes, but the left one is covered by that black piece and the right one isnt. Please can someone confirm this is normal or both have to be covered/uncovered?

No one has DT770 to confirm this? up

It's really hard to say anything definitive with the quality of those pictures...

I have the premium 990s, and could probably compare them if I could see what I was looking at there.

actually the headband cover looks a little shorter than it should be .... can u slide it down a little to the end, if there is enough give in the rest of the headband ?

ill need a better pic of the other issue to give an opinion.

If you can snap pics in better res, that would be a lot better.

I have the dt770/80 and there should be one bass holes on each side, somewhere on right AND left   note: each should have black mesh covers for protection

mines the 80 ohm and has black plastic covers(with text) on where the steel screws are..

Its on the front of one cup, and on the rear of the other cup.

Regarding dust: the screen is only mesh. It will not prevent the intake of dust. On that note, having cracked several DT-770's open I have never seen one with dust inside. I would not worry about dust, but how this little bit of mesh may effect frequency response. I wonder if it was designed to have an aperiodic effect.

For clarification, here is the port on my DT770/80 (click for full size images.)

Guys/ OP

Quick question not to derail the thread or anything how long did you guys wait for your headphones to arrive like say someone coming from US/Canada?  so Manufaktur is really located in Germany?

I just ordered some replacement pads for my DT150 through Long & McQuade, and they said it will take two months for them to arrive.  Perhaps they send each pair out with a delivery guy in a canoe from Germany.

Yes, that is the little black piece im talking about. So you have it on both left and right cups? And what do you mean front and rear? Mine has both holes at the same sides.

Anyway, would you demand a new one for this? It really pisses me off. They should take care of things like this ffs.
