My girlfriend is getting a pair of Audioengine A2 for her birthday, and since she doesn't have a DAC or an amp for her headphones, why not get her a nice portable all-in-one solution. The D2+ boa is the only thing that fits the bill. So will it be suitable to run the A2 out of? Can I use it in DAC only mode with a line out to the A2 so as not to bi-amp? And finally, what kind of sound can I expect? Thanks all.

SEE PROS & CONS. NOTE: The clamping factor will obviously differ from person to person, but I'm surprised to find little mention of it, as it is the sole reason I'd never think twice about...
