^ I don't know about the OF but with Rockbox you certainly can.

sorry for not replying.... for a long time!!  ... it has been jail broken, and that is the reason why i like it more. the cowon D2 does have a good sound (wolfson Dac) + enough ampage to drive even one of the most serious headphones i have out there --> HD600/650. The main reason why i prefered the zune HD over the cowon D2 was due to its unique sound signature when coupled with my live wire trips and UE triple fi 10. the zune HD uses the new tegra chip and (yes i know that it lacks an eq setting; jailbroken) which technically is a dedicated dac unlike the many generations of ipods.  The genre of music that i listened is usually mellow/alternative/indy rock along with some jazz and classical from time to time. Dont get me wrong though, i still love the cowon, they just both sound different where i cant really grasp my mind around... even now. This is my portable player so i dont really emphasize too much on sound

cowon j3 by far is the most best player....

 

if you want, of course music, at the highest quality....
