HM-801 firmware update

I posted about the same thing in the Portable Sources board, so if an admin/mod/supermod sees unfit, feel free to delete this (or this other) post.

Just how and where do you update the HM-801's firmware? Is there an update software to be downloaded? I read this post and there seems to be some quite annoying problems with these firmwares, some quite common amongst Chinese portable electronics, no offense. Actually I'll be buying one in two to three weeks (that's why I ask).

I will be buying one at a retailer in Shanghai... what batch would this unit be?

Plus, when I buy the unit in China, can I get a 100-240V power supply and not a 220V one? I won't be using this unit in China.

Buried in that thread is 0.19B download which fixes a lot of problems.

 

The power supply is universal, i.e. it should work in Quebec.

Could you repost that link?  Does it fix the issue of having to eject and reinsert the SDHC card every time after powerup to successfully rescan its contents?

The power supply is not universal unless you buy the new Switch power supply

Thanks, exactly the one I have installed.  Looks like we need to wait for the next one to fix this SDHC card refresh issue.

According to the System Info my HM-801 has version 0.19. Is this the same as 0.19B listed above? Thanks.

yes, sorry for the confusion the b just states that its still a beta version and not finalized

Thanks guys, btw if any of you has an Audio Technica AH-ESW9 try it with the HM-801. They are a great match!
