Sony DR-4C vintage headphones. - Page 2

I think that whatever else is said about them, they truly are beautiful.

From what I've heard about the DR-6C, they respond well to bass eq/boost. Does your player have any form of such a feature?

If I use itunes I can eq, otherwise when streaming off sites such as Spotify then no.

Looks like we have another set of great metal performers, nice impressions rock man. Im sure another headfier's could benefit from it on the future.

Thanks earerror, but it is if you can find a pair, don't mid the lack of deep bass and have a powerful amp!

I am now officially chuffed to bits with these headphones. Presently listening to some metal by OSI and after a lot of adjustment with the volume, I now have bass. At just before 1 o'clock on the volume of the X-CANV8P, which is way higher than anything else I listen to, the volume is not too loud, but the bass has appeared. They do now leak sound, but not much.

It is still not a bass to thrill those who like BASS pounding through their head, but it tight and reasonable detailed.

Clearly these headphones are very amp/volume sensitive.
