I do that to.

But those noises aren't going to damage one's headphones anymore than normal music at similar loud levels.

I'm also selling most of my IEMs to.
Actually it's because of my modded GMP 400.
I want to get a more powerfull amp just to see how it scales. I can't do it without selling my D100 otherwise I would keep it for sure.
I also want to try to get a Sennheiser HD6x0 or DT880 600Ohms to compare to my GMPs before I try to send it for measurements.
I have a feeling that the modded GMP will kick the crap out of those headphones, lol.
But if not, I have at least a neutral reference and may be able to see where my GMPs can be improved further... although the improvement over stock is already quite remarkable!
I'm still not sure if I sell the D100 right now because I haven't found any atractive alternative yet... and if I get a HD600 or DT880 I'll need the Dac/Amp, obviously...
We'll see... rolleyes.gif

The D100 puts out a fair amount of current, yes?

Or do you just mean a nicer amp?

I do wish there wasn't an ocean between us so we could play around with these damn GMP variants running all over the place

Oh, the D100 amp has enough power to make my GMPs sound loud, but past the 12 o'clock position there isn't much more volume gain left and it seems to me that the D100 starts to loose some control in the bass and kinda seems struggling... I think it's more a problem of voltage supply than current.

I also would like to have less analytical emphasys, something with a more laidback uppermids and treble and more presence in the lower mids, the Yulong can be fatiguing over long periods compared to my Clip+.

Actually, something with a similar tonal balance to a Clip+ but just a bit less dark, would be perfect.

The GMP 400 sounds surprisingly good out of the Clip+, but then the lesser resolution and dynamics bothers me and put me to sleep.

The Clip+ is a little sonic marvel for the price, TBH.

WSZ0304 and Tamaudio are the two I trust most.

I can't seem to find any users under "Tamaudio". WSZ0304 has the D100 mk II though. Thanks!

Anyone tried the user "coolfungadget"? That's the top pick when searching for Yulong D100.

Or with an S3 - which should be possible if it doesn't need drivers

TamAudio is Coolfungadget.

Sorry, I forget that Tamaudio goes by coolfungadget on eBay.

No, I can't get either D100 version to work with my iPad and CCK. Haven't tried a powered USB hub though, so that may be an option.

I've had mine (mk2) for several months, and bought it on eBay from a retailer in Hong Kong (I live in Singapore). Absolutely no issues whatsoever. Very satisfied with my purchase to say the least smily_headphones1.gif

Hm.. still on the fence with whether the amp section of the D100 would have enough power for my AKG K601's. Not a lot of people have these so I don't expect to find anyone who has tried, but they are known to be rather power hungry...

Enough power for the K702s at least ... which are similarly power hungry. A bigger issue for me is that the SS amp in the D100 is very accurate, which may not be the best partner for the brightness of the AKGs.

From what I've read the 601's are harder to drive than the 701's. The 601's are 120 ohms, so. They also have more relaxed highs than the 701's so I was hoping they would match the D100 better. Though that's why I wanted the MK2 since it's supposed to have a slightly warmer sound. But then I got a good deal on a used MK1 that I'm finding hard to turn down..

Edit: I just noticed you said 702, not 1. I'm not familiar with these. How are they compared to the 701's?
