Screen Crushed on Cowon J3... still works perfectly.

Thread Starter

If anyone has a broken J3 and it's possible to remove the glass screen I'll buy it off you, or buy a whole broken J3 but not at a ridiculous price.

Anyway, Somehow I crushed the screen on my J3.  I'm not happy, BUT

Every little thing works perfectly... the screen looks perfectly fine (Because of OLED being bendable?), the touch screen works perfectly (under the glass?)

It's just that it looks bad.

I want to try and take the glass/plastic out but I'm afraid it will break it.

Anyone know what I could do?

Anyway, I'm really surprised at how durable this thing is.

Up I have the same issue. I was sitting on a chair and it felt...Does anyone knows how much could Cowon claim for the repair ?

My cousin has an iPod Touch with a cracked screen that still works fine to this day and he broke the thing months ago. Many devices with glass touch screens will still function (mostly) normally even when the screen has been shattered.

I have no doubt about that but my main concern it's how my brand new 200 EUR mp3 player looks like... a shame -_-'

So much for the praises of Gorilla Glass . . .

Well it felt from +/- 30cm (1foot) height on stone floor and you can see how it ended... A shame my cowon was only 1 week old -__-''

Anyway I just ordered a leather case to prevent any futher damages to screen since the touchscreen is still working flawlessly.

This is why I like Idevices, you have more case options than you can shake a dacport at.
