SOLD: Woo Audio WA22 balanced headphone amplifier

Woo Audio's built like a sh*t brickhouse headphone amplifier, featuring 2x3 & 4-pin XLR headphone outputs as well as a 1/4" jack. Output varies depending on tubes, and I will include two sets (details & photos to come) that cover the entire range of power-hungry headphones. At this point I'm thinking of making this a bundle deal with an APS 4-pin recabled K701s, which benefit greatly from the ample balanced drive. Interest check, so sale offers and questions are welcome, trades are not. I'm willing to work with shipping outside of CONUS, for a premium over local offers. If you are in the twin cities area, you're welcome to come by and try out the amp beforehand. I also have balanced cables for the HD650 or HD800 available in case this is your first foray into the balanced tube sound.

  • Point-to-Point wiring
  • True balanced topology
  • All tubes. No semi-conductors in the entire circuitry

An asking price or at least a range would be helpful

The tubes in the picture include:

2x GE 6AS7 power

2x Shuguang Treasure CV181-Z / 6SN7GT driver

1x Shuguang 274B rectifier

With those power tubes I recall the output being quoted at 1 watt. I'll also include:

2x Sylvania 7236 power

2x Zenith 6SN7GTR driver

1x Russian 5Ц3C rectifier

another Shuguang 274B rectifier

There's also a pair of 6080s that I need to look around for

With the 7236, the output is significantly higher, something like 2 watts, IIRC.

I'll also include the much-hyped Sophia Princess 274B, but with the disclaimer that, in most headphones, it now develops a buzz after about a half an hour. So it's more for novelty or experimentation.

I took delivery of this amp in October, it comes from the very first batch. The total for the amp and tubes ran over 2400$ from Woo Audio. My price is a firm 1600$ + shipping + paypal for the bunch, and I'll throw in either an HD650 or HD800 balanced cable on top of that.

Remember that this amp is heavy and huge, so the shipping won't be a trivial fee.

For an extra 200$, I'll throw in the APS balanced K701.
