Mine had the Blue Dragon... but never tested original so not if there was/is any perceived change... (I'm not a big fan of cable differences though so... ;))

Thanks. I'm conflicted as to whether I should get mine modded to tame the brightness or simply sell it. My SRH1540 would get most of the "head time" now but a part of me does not want to part with the T5p. If only I could tame these beasts......:deadhorse:

This is why I sent mine to replace the cups just to check what changes might happen... but I already mostly forgot how they sounded in detail! LOL! Still, I enjoyed their sound signature with the exception of the highs but I wasn't super bothered by them.

I was in the same boat. I was thinking of selling them, but got this weird idea of modding them just for the heck of it. If I end up enjoying them more, then more power to me! :p

If not, then I guess I'll just leave them be posing on a stand at home (doubt I will sell them after mods... unless somehow I can make up a bit of ground regarding $$$... which I doubt...)

I was quoted $830 for a brand new one at radio star or something few weks ago.

If you live in canada you can get t5p for $899 cad at ncix.com. ask salesrep for that price. wink.gif

I guess it's not that great a deal after all.
