Sold: Yamaha YH-5m (extremely rare Japanese in-ear orthodynamic)

For sale is an extremely rare Yamaha YH-5m in-ear style orthodynamic earphone.

It is one of the strikingly designed earphones you will see.

This was only ever released in Japan, and the only pair in the Western world I’v ever seen. Most likely you will never find one for sale again here.

Physical condition is overall excellent even though it is a 30+ year old earphone.

You can use it closed or open using the removable cups provided.

The sound is v.warm, dark and powerful, with some of the best bass iv ever heard.

Another pair sold (albiet with a box) not too long ago for about £100 more than I paid. So this is still reasonable. Willing to entertain sensible offers.

Ok these are now back for sale again. I had sent them to dBel84. The intermittancy is gone now. They work perfectly. The issue was there was a loose solder joint inside, he cleaned it and resoldered the joint and it seems to all be fine and dandy now.

So its for sale again, located in USA currently.
