What wire for making IEM cables?

I'll start this as an open ended question to gather ideas and experiences, but I've come across a specific vendor that seems promising that I want to ask about.

Does anyone have any experience with the silicone insulation Cooner Wire products?

I've gotten a few hits searching here on head-fi, but no mention of specific products used, pictures and that kind of thing.

It seems the silicone insulation is supposed to be super soft, so it seems like they would be ideal.

More generally, I'm thinking something 28-32 AWG, stranded, more strands is better -- don't care if copper, silver, silver clad.

Thoughts?  Experience?  Pictures?

Thanks,

Choose 28 AWG or 30AWG wires; they produce less microphonics

DEFINITELY stranded wire, size 28-32 AWG. Other than that there is not much to it. Oh, a flexible insulator is also what you want.

If you're going to be using the IEMs outside of home, I'd actually go for 26AWG...the 28AWG stuff doesn't hold up to constant bending and use that you'll see going to work/school etc.

You'd need to twist two of the 24AWG cables together then making it a bit thick IMO.

It's only about 2mmx3mm.

And no twisting needed, that's what the two conductor is for.

You need 4 conductors because there are two monitors to power. One for the right channel + ground, one for the left. So yeah, two separate wires needed.

No, because it's shielded, I should know, because I'm using it right now. One left channel, one right channel, and shielding. It's technically three conductor, but it's called two conductor because we're only thinking about the two inner signal carrying wires.

Ugh, wouldn't like to split up the shielding between the two channels, but if you can do it, good for you.

It's dead easy, just transition from one two conductor to two one conductors.

So nobody has used silicone sleeved wire?  It sounds like it is much more flexible and less micro-phonic than most other materials.

I can't find silicone coax, so no.

They have some silicone coax listed here:
