HP2 and RS1 - Page 2

On a side note, I think Rhydon from Symphones may have been trying to resurrect the HP series to some degree, if not by sound but aesthetics.  Funny, when you add up the price of the MS2/325 ($300) and the full Magnum upgrade ($400), you get the original price of the HP1000 ($700).  Coincidence?

The original price of HP100 was not $700.

HP1 was $595

HP2 was $495

HP3 was $395.

John Grado made a decision to produce his own line of Grado headphones with new drivers. It was his choice and we should respect that. I would like it too if HP1000s were still in production but I'm glad phones like RS1 exist. :-)

You can still get your HP1000 restored and upgraded by Joe (when he has time) for around $2000. Believe me It does bring the sound quality up a notch.

There's an interesting thread here:
