Who's interested in a Pittsburgh Meet in July or August?  I am shooting for July 17 or 18. There may be a couple places I could get pretty close to Downtown.

I sent a PM to the following members that have expressed interest in a Pittsburgh meet in other posts.  If you know any other members that would come to PGH send them a PM with the thread link.

I would be interested if a good place could be found and decent amount of people could attend.  What days in July did you have in mind?

I agree, if enough people can express interest I would definitely be game. It would be nice to get a few options for dates, just so we could have as many people attend as possible.

How about we do the meet in late August so I can attend? :p

If there only 10-15 of us, the library at my university (Carnegie Mellon University) has free meeting rooms that we could reserve.

I would be cool with that too.  July is fine also.

I think I ship back up to Erie for school around August 25th... So anything before that would personally be the best.

I just wish I would be able to offer more to the table than my n00bish collection... But hey, I am an unemployed engineering student.

My friend just graduated in mechanical engineering from Penn State Behrend which is near Erie.  It's ok though I don't have much of a collection either, although I plan on upgrading to some serious gear after attending Can Jam :)

I won't be able to make anything in da Burgh until school starts up and I'll be back in State College.  Until then I'm stuck in Scranton or Philly (I bounce between the two).

I'm game for whenever. I live and go to school at Cal. I don't have much to contribute either. My 325is's might be of interest to some folks. Maybe even my 225's and 60's.

Also, I might be able to get us more intimate venu? I've had a few extended tenures working the door at some spots around the city. Maybe I can use my powers for good. Probably the best place that comes to mind is Embury, it's the downstairs portion of the Firehouse Lounge in the stirp. It's quaint, clean, and the people are cool.

Let me know if I can help.

It appears that way Nick. I'd even go as far as asserting that the majority of us are math / physics / engineering / cs majors.

We're the only ones who are OCD enough to be this particular about how something sounds!

I played poker with some guy who was a CE major at PSU Behrend a few summers ago. He cleaned house, then passed out in the kitchen. We nicknamed him Dallas Kenobi.

haha. I noticed the same thing.

I think this type of hobby fits most of those majors perfectly. :p
