I think you mean optical in
which is a NO
It can however convert your USB signal to a digital out, but that would be pointless unless you want to send the signal to another DAC
What is your purpose? Are you planning to use the udac as a transporter?
bummer. then what about the 'coaxial' on my uDAC - what is that for? not sure how that works/when i would use that. is that 'irrelevant' if I am using a MacBook/LittleDotI+/Grados ? Is that 'coaxial in' or 'coaxial out'? I don't even know what coaxial is.
No real purpose, TBH. I guess I was just off of work today chilling at home, and wanted to 'try something different.' And I was wondering what 'optical out' was all about and what the 'coaxial' on my uDAC was all about.
The coaxial on your uDAC is a coaxial out - that's what roker was saying
In this case it is a digital output for sending to another DAC or receiver with an coax input. I have a uDac and actually plan on using this on occasion feed a Beresford DAC. The main reason I would do this is because I already have a couple things plugged into it and it is already feeding a X-Can V3 headphone amp. This would save me the trouble of unplugging the Beresford and plugging in the uDac everytime I want to listen to my X-Can. Obviously, this was not the main reason I bought the uDac, but it is a usefull feature.
